Mother’s Day 2025
I am so blessed to have a loving mother. She took great pains to prepare the very best environment for my health and happiness even before I was born. Always clean and neat, always protected, always placed in a comfortable setting, always given hugs and kisses. And she took plenty of pictures of me and the family. This made me feel confident and gave me room to have an imagination - to be curious - and even to think critically. She is always there to give a helping hand and to listen and give advice. Even when I don’t want her too - she will put everyone’s needs above her own. My mother is a precious gift.
It’s always a challenge to find the best gift for one who is so precious. Thankfully, this year, I was able to have the gift of time - the most precious thing of all. On Mother’s Day, we were able to get together along with my Aunt Malinda and three of my sorority sisters and go to The Queens: 4 Legends 1 Stage concert with Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle, and Chaka Khan. Those ladies sang songs that brought back happy memories and being together made a great new one.
